We often we faced with disposable soap dispensers leaking all over or falling onto the floor and breaking the container as we travelled. That was until we found a soap dispenser that was not expensive and sticks very well to the wall in the shower room and does not take up a great deal of space. We have found this makes life a lot easier! It's the small things that make the BIG difference.

It's great to have your electric toothbrush with you as you travel around in the campervan...BUT where do you put them? They're just a little too big to fit comfortably into a toilet bag (unless you have a huge one!), and they're too bulky to fit in a standard holder. We have found the answer - electric tooth brush holders which fit perfectly in the shower room/bathroom and they hold the toothbrush as you drive along.

As I'm sure you're read in our van modifications page, we have installed a separating toilet. What a difference this has made! It's so much easier to dispose of the waste because vitally, it is NOT "black water waste". Black water waste is what is produced from the usual camping "chemical toilet" and the waste water from these toilets MUST be disposed of in the appropriate facilities. This is because the standard camping toilet uses chemicals. The separating toilet does NOT use ANY chemicals at all. BUT in order to eliminate any undesirable odours, we have found that PURE ACTIVATED BIOCHAR does the job admirably (mixed with sawdust).
Here's the link to what we purchase - and we are more than delighted with the results.

A lot of campervans and motorhomes come with one (or possibly two) 12v auxiliary power outlets (often referred to as the cigar or cigarette lighter socket). Now this is all well and good if you've only got one thing you want to plug in. But what if you've got more than one? Well you could always juggle what you've got plugged in, or you could do like we have done and purchase a two way adapter, literally making one socket into two. Genius!
