About Karen and Simon
I’m Karen — mum to two fantastic boys and the proud owner of a Pilates business I built from the ground up in 2017. In 2021, life threw me a curveball when I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. After months of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, I spent a full year recovering, rebuilding my strength, and rethinking everything I knew about life.
That experience changed me. It reminded me how precious — and short — life really is. We only get one chance, and I’m determined to make the most of mine. Now it’s time to travel, explore, and experience everything this wonderful world has to offer.

Music shaped the early part of Simon’s life. He spent years teaching in both primary and secondary schools, inspiring young people and nurturing their creativity. Eventually, he stepped away from teaching to rediscover music for himself — not as a job, but as a passion.
Family has always been at the heart of everything Simon does. He’s the proud father of three incredible children, each following their own path in life, and supporting them has been one of his greatest achievements.
Retirement opened the door to a new chapter. With Karen at his side and a campervan purchased, Simon is embracing the freedom of the open road. New places, new experiences, new memories — this is the life he’s chosen to live.​
