Day 5 – Dornoch Detours and Fairy-Tale Walks
We left Barrow Campsite and set off for Wick, where we had a pitch reserved at Wick River Campsite. The journey was around 116 miles, roughly three hours of driving, but with our usual stops we knew it would take most of the day. The weather was on our side again—another stretch of blue skies. Loch Ness
Day 4 We left Barrow Campsite to explore the local area, enjoying a scenic drive towards the legendary Loch Ness. We decided to stay for two nights to recharge after the long drive. The journey itself was

The NC500
2025 was flying by as we carried on planning our NC500 adventure. We’d bought Robbie Roams NC500, and honestly, it was money well spent—I’d absolutely recommend it. It gave us loads of ideas on places to stay, things to do and where to eat. With all this new inspiration, we tweaked our route to include a detour to Orkney and went ahead and booked our campsites. Then in July, life threw us yet another curveball. In an effort to get fitter and healthier, we’d decided to tackle
